About

Founded in 1872 at Syracuse University during a time when few women attended college, Alpha Phi, began with 10 brilliant, pioneering women and the goal of providing a "tie which unites, a circle of friends." Alpha Phi has now grown into an international fraternity dedicated to the empowerment and development of women with over 170 collegiate chapters and more than 200,000 members. With over 177,00 alumnae around the globe Alpha Phi, is focused on lifelong engagement and furthering the ideals of sisterhood, service, leadership, loyalty and philanthropy instilled during the college years.

The San Antonio Alumnae Chapter continues the ideals set by the Founders at a local level. We offer volunteer opportunities, social gatherings and a support system no matter what stage of life you are at or where you are from.

Get involved

We're excited that you're interested in being involved with the San Antonio Alumnae Chapter!

One of the easiest ways to do this is by attending one of our monthly events. Most events are free and all involve being around a great group of women! Your attendance at our events helps to engage other members and promote a lifelong sisterhood.

Other volunteer opportunities include offering to be a hostess for one of our events, assisting during one of our fundraising events, serving on one of our event planning committees, or volunteering to serve in one of the Director positions on the Executive Board.

If you're interested in becoming involved, please speak to one of our members at any one of our events. You can also contact us via email or through any one of our social media sites. We appreciate you volunteering with us!
